The Property and Liability Discussion Group Inc (PLDG) commenced in 1956 as a Discussion Group affiliated with the Australia & New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF). In 2008, the PLDG membership voted to form an association independent of ANZIIF. On 1 July 2008 the PLDG became an incorporated association.
The purpose of the PDLG is to provide educational and networking opportunities for professionals involved in all aspects of the insurance industry who have a particular interest in property and liability insurance risks.
The PLDG conducts monthly lunchtime seminars between February and November (usually on the 3rd Wednesday of each month) each year. Seminars are held at the offices of Colin Biggers & Paisley, Level 42, 2 Park Street, Sydney NSW. This accompanied by the occasional social event.
